> [!IMPORTANT]
> **In short:** XSERIES has a unique format and big stars, but all of its strengths live on borrowed channels. Information sits in Instagram stories, tickets on GOERS, and viewing on the Games of Society YouTube channel. There is no official place yet that explains the current rules, keeps the stories, and collects fan data.

## The numbers that matter most

```viz-stats
- 12 mo | Gap between editions | XS-2 Jan 2026, XS-3 Jan 2027 ([Edition timeline](/research/timeline-edisi/)) | ink
- 16–15 | XS-1 final score | Closer to basketball than futsal, because of the card effects ([Format & rules](/research/format-dan-aturan/))
- 60.2K | IG followers @xseries___ | The only audience XSERIES truly owns ([Social media numbers](/research/angka-media-sosial/))
- 0 | Owned fan data | Ticket buyers sit on GOERS, viewers on YouTube ([Digital touchpoints](/research/touchpoint-digital/))
```

## Six key findings

### The event is growing, but it happens rarely

XS-3 moves from GOR UNJ to Indonesia Arena, brings in Luís Nani, and brings back Ricardinho. But XS-3 will only take place on 23–24 Jan 2027, about 8 months later than the plan reported at XS-2. Frequency is slowing while scale is rising. That leaves about 12 months without matches that need filling so fans do not drift away. Source: [Edition timeline](/research/timeline-edisi/).

### The card rules are the main differentiator, but the official explanation is out of date

X Cards and President Cards let scores jump and make comebacks always possible. This is what separates XSERIES from regular futsal. The only official explanation is the GOS video "XSERIES: EXPLAINED" from the XS-1 era (Sep 2025), and the rules have changed since then. There is no up-to-date official rules page, so the most complete explanation of the current rules is in the media (Bola.com). New viewers also struggle to tell which card is active. ### The content is strong, but it is not kept

Player reveals with playing cards, star arrival series, rivalries, and reposts from player accounts all work well. The top post got 11K likes from 60.2K followers. The problem is that all of it lives in story highlights that cannot be searched. There is no archive of rosters, results, and stories for each edition. Sources: [Instagram content audit](/research/audit-konten-instagram/), [Social media numbers](/research/angka-media-sosial/), [Players](/research/pemain/).

### The audience and fan data are still borrowed

The biggest channel, GOS YouTube with 241K subscribers, is shared with Futsal Series and other IPs. Ticket buyers are recorded on GOERS, viewers on YouTube, followers on Instagram. XSERIES has no fan database of its own and cannot reach its fans directly. Sources: [Digital touchpoints](/research/touchpoint-digital/), [Social media numbers](/research/angka-media-sosial/).

### Sponsors only have physical assets

The visible sponsor assets are only pitchside LEDs, the press conference backdrop, jerseys, and posters. There are no digital assets yet, such as "presented by" on cards, stats, or MVP. Source: [Sponsors & partners](/research/sponsor-dan-partner/).

### Card mechanics are known, but no local league uses them yet

Kings League and Baller League both use cards or surprise rules. Indonesian audiences already know the Kings League format through the Kings World Cup Nations 2026, where Atta Halilintar led the Indonesian team. But there is no Kings League Indonesia, and we found no other local league that regularly uses a card mechanic. Kings League is big, but its product is spread across many apps. Baller League has one tidy site, and its structure fits 4 teams and 4 matches per edition better. Fantasy built on collectible cards risks being seen as gambling, so light voting is a safer first step. ## What we still do not know

This research only uses public sources as of 1 Nov 2026. These questions matter most and need answers from the client first:

- Rules and format: [F2](/research/pertanyaan-terbuka/#q-f2), [F3](/research/pertanyaan-terbuka/#q-f3), [V1](/research/pertanyaan-terbuka/#q-v1)
- Data only the client has: [D1](/research/pertanyaan-terbuka/#q-d1), [D2](/research/pertanyaan-terbuka/#q-d2)

## From research to strategy
