XSERIES overview

A one-page summary of XSERIES, the 5v5 sportainment event from Games of Society. Start here before reading the other pages.

What XSERIES is

XSERIES is a 5v5 sportainment event (sport + entertainment) in Jakarta, created by Games of Society (GOS), the same organizer behind Futsal Series. The game is called XBall, "the next-generation 5v5 game". The roster mixes professional football players, pro futsal players, legends, content creators, and young talent from the Futsal Series ecosystem.

What sets it apart from regular futsal is the power cards: teams can play X Cards and President Cards that change the course of the match (for example 6v5, goals worth 3, or a score reset). Because of this, scores can climb as high as basketball scores, like the XS-1 final that ended 16–15.

Why this matters for the digital product

  1. The event is growing fast, but its official website is still empty. XS-1 and XS-2 were held at GOR UNJ, a campus sports hall in Rawamangun. A year later, XS-3 moves to Indonesia Arena in Senayan, a much bigger venue. The star guests moved up too: from futsal legends (Falcão, Ricardinho) to Luís Nani, formerly of Manchester United. Meanwhile, the xseries.gamesofsociety.com website is still a placeholder, so XSERIES information is spread across IG, YouTube, and GOERS.
  2. Unique rules need explaining. X Cards and President Cards are the main differentiator, but right now they are only explained through media articles and IG stories that disappear after 24 hours.
  3. Character content is already running. The player arrival series, creator rivalries, and player reveals with playing cards show that this IP already thinks like an entertainment league. A digital product can keep those stories permanently.
  4. Monetization already exists. Tickets on GOERS and YouTube membership are two digital revenue streams that can be strengthened.

Document map

  • Research: what we know. Facts, data, content audit, competitors, sources.
  • Strategy: where we are going. Goals and HMW challenges, positioning, SWOT, opportunities, personas and the fan journey, then the digital product (vision, references, features, information architecture, content model), feature deep dives (Predict & Back), and execution (KPIs, roadmap, risks).
  • Visual Direction: what it feels like. Brand audit, palette, typography, motifs, then visual principles, moodboard, photo and motion, UI direction, and the decision log.
