Content model & CMS

Content entities (edition, team, player, match, card, sponsor) and their fields, so the XSERIES team can fill the website without a developer.

Each entity below fills pages in Information architecture. For example, the Card entity fills /how-to-play and /cards/[slug], and the Match entity fills /xs3/fixtures and /xs3/live.

CMS recommendation

The choice should be made together with the client's technical team. The criteria:

Non-technical editors can add players and news themselves
Supports relations (player ↔ team ↔ edition)
Has an API for the live match companion
Supports scheduling (player reveals at a set time)

Note
A headless CMS (for example Sanity, Contentful, Strapi, or Payload) meets these criteria. The final choice depends on budget and on who will maintain it.
